Detailed Description
Newly updated for 2026 — Built for dedicated ice climbers, the DART is a lightweight, technical 12-point crampon that adapts to the route in front of you. Swap between short or long mono-points and symmetrical or asymmetrical dual-points to suit the ice, and adjust front-point length with a single screw. Aluminum rear sections and a FLEX linking bar keep weight down, and the modular ALPEN ADAPT system lets you replace or reconfigure every part as your objectives change.
Features
- Interchangeable, toothed front points bite securely on ice and mixed terrain
- Front-point length adjusts with one screw (Petzl patent)
- Four front-point configurations: dual-point for snow couloirs and gullies, asymmetrical dual-point for pure ice, short mono-point for ice, and long mono-point for mixed
- Asymmetrical steel front sections shaped for technical mountaineering boots
- Eight secondary points plus the mono-point give stable support on featured ice such as cauliflowers and chandeliers
- Third row of points angled toward the back for traction
- Aluminum rear sections and FLEX linking bar reduce overall weight
- LEVERLOCK FIL binding system for boots with toe and heel welts
- ANTISNOW DART anti-bott system helps limit snow buildup in a range of conditions
- ALPEN ADAPT modularity: front points, front sections, rear sections, linking bars, anti-bott system, and bindings can each be replaced separately
