Ange Carabiner

The ANGE carabiner represents the best of both traditional solid and classic wire gate carabiners. Petzl’s MonoFil technology and the H-shaped cross-section make it lightweight and offer an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. The shape of the nose and the Keylock system help prevent the carabiner from snagging when clipping and unclipping. It’s the ideal design for multi-pitch climbers looking to reduce weight while keeping the functionality of a standard size carabiner.

• Very lightweight, standard size carabiner:
  - Weighing 34 g, it helps lighten the load when mountaineering or climbing alpine rock or ice
  - Carabiner size and strength-to-weight ratio are optimized due to the H-shaped cross-section
  
• Easy to clip and unclip:
  - MonoFil gate opens and closes smoothly and offers a much longer lifetime compared to traditional wire gate carabiners; the wire gate is inset within the frame, reducing the chance of it rubbing against the rock
  - Keylock system is designed to avoid snagging on a gear loop, piton, rope, or webbing
  - Nose of the carabiner has a hole that allows ice, snow, or dirt to be cleared out
  - Flat carabiner spine provides stability when holding it in your hand or pinch clipping
  - Wide contact surface with the rope and bolt hanger for better rope glide and reduced wear on the carabiner
