The Origin TT multi-purpose rigging plate was designed with this driving principle in mind: improve the rigging and performance of Twin-Tensioned Rope Systems (TTRS).
Unlike rigging plates that use a single bolt system to mount two side-by-side multi-purpose devices, Origin TT employs two quick-release locking pins. This enables independent attention to either of the twin devices managing ropes in the system, while the other remains safely tensioned.
And set-up is simply easier. On the raise/lower side, Origin TT provides a seamless link with Harken Clutch and similar multi-purpose devices from other manufactures, eliminating the need for carabiners and shortening overall system length.
There are five attachment points on the anchor side which enable rigging of ‘SERENE’ systems (Systems Strong, Equalized, Redundant, Efficient with No Extension potential.) Eliminating carabiners also removes play in the system that can diminish coordination between the two lowering devices which remain immediately adjacent and aligned. This facilitates the coordinated precision that results from the dual-handled operation (Sharkfinning) where Origin TT excels. Lowering happens at the same pace on each device, greatly diminishing uncomfortable jerking for the humans at the end of the line. The connected devices stay better synchronized and better aligned with the load on hauls which become more efficient as well. MBS 45kN WLL 11kN NFPA 2500 (1983) 2022 ED “G”.
