SHOVEL PRO LIGHT is a 440 g avalanche shovel for ski tourers who count grams but won't compromise on digging performance. A hardened aluminium blade with high sidewalls and a pronounced centre ridge stays rigid under load, while a 7075 aluminium telescoping shaft locks quickly without pressing a button. Cutouts in the blade save weight and let the shovel double as a rescue sled component or snow anchor.

Features

Lightweight and rigid: The hardened 6061 T6 aluminium blade weighs just 440 g (15.5 oz) in total, with high sidewalls and a centre ridge for stiffness.
Fast telescoping shaft: High-strength 7075 T6 aluminium with rapid locking and no button to press. A groove-shaped cross section adds rigidity and grip.
Left- or right-handed: A switchover function sets the blade up for either hand.
Sharp, sturdy cutting edge: Cuts efficiently through dense avalanche debris.
Non-slip step grooves: Keep your boot planted when driving the blade in.
Rescue sled and snow anchor: Blade cutouts allow use in an improvised rescue sled or as a snow anchor.
T-grip: A secure handle for powerful digging.
Pack-friendly: Fits all Ortovox backpacks and is compatible with the PRO ALU III shaft.
