On September 21st, Climb On Equipment, in partnership with Black Diamond Equipment, proudly hosted An Evening with Hazel Findlay at our Vancouver shop. With the event quickly selling out, 75 members of the local climbing community gathered for an inspiring night of stories, insight, and connection.
Hazel Findlay, renowned British climber, coach, and founder of Strong Mind, shared her journey from bold first ascents and free climbs on El Capitan to her honest reflections on fear, resilience, and the mental side of climbing. The evening was guided by award-winning filmmaker and storyteller Jen Randall, whose thoughtful questions helped uncover both the challenges and triumphs behind Hazel’s most iconic climbs.
The night concluded with a lively Q&A, giving attendees the rare chance to engage directly with Hazel.
All proceeds supported the Climber’s Access Society of BC, reinforcing the community’s commitment to protecting and expanding access for climbers across the province.
