Detailed Description

The Quickie Descender-Guide is designed and engineered for use with 6mm rope and is ideal for backcountry guides or where a very light-weight descending system is desired.

This patented, auto-locking device is quick and easy to deploy, being able to connect and dis-connect mid-rope. Critically, its design incorporates force-limiting through a calculated amount of rope-slip through the device if the system is suddenly loaded.

It works best with smaller locking carabiners (such as a DMM Phantom or similar) and is designed for use with a 6mm, Technora-sheathed rope (i.e. Sterling 6mm TRC).
