Cam Repair Tools

NOTICE: We do not test the cams. Usage history is based on the customer’s knowledge. Our customers remain responsible for inspecting cams and retiring them at the appropriate time based on their history. Please inspect your gear often and retire it when you are uncertain of its condition or ability to properly perform.

Our general guidelines for retiring a cam instead of repairing it are below. Please retire your cams if:

  • The cams have been damaged in a fall.
  • The cam teeth are worn away.
  • The tailpiece or crossbar is cracked.
  • The stem cable is frayed, kinked or damaged in any way.
  • If the springs are weak or damaged.

Always read and understand the instructions that come with your climbing gear.
