Drom Mid Tech Approach Shoe

The Drom Mid Tech is a no-compromise ultralight mid-height approach shoe built for alpine approaches, scrambling, and hiking. The Drom packs all the performance features you need and will take you where you want to go, scrambling up peaks, glaciated approaches, or hiking trails. 

Upper:

The mid-height upper is made from Putek, a new, extremely durable fabric that combines high protection with extreme lightness, and has lateral injected PU for added protection.  The Drom Tech is designed to be durable for rough approaches and light for climbing. The highly adjustable lace closure extends close to the toe for a precision climbing fit.

Lining:

Sympatex® Moisture-Tech waterproof lining allows for absolute waterproofness plus stay cool breathability.  

Midsole:

The PB-60 midsole with an EVA top surface makes these relatively stiff compared to other approach shoes.   These are a good choice for long approaches and travel over snow and loose terrain.

Sole:

The Vibram® Pepe rubber outsole is grippy and durable.  The heal design provides edge for descending snow, deep lugs add braking and grip, and the flat climbing zone at the toe enables scrambling performance.  

Features:

• The Heel Fit System (HFS) consists of anatomically sculpted pieces of foam padding which hold the heel comfortably and securely in place to avoid unwanted movement.
