Detailed Description
A compact, purpose-built energy absorber for rope access technicians who need to work at a distance from the rope, or who may need to perform a two-person rescue.
The ASAP'SORBER AXESS pairs exclusively with the ASAP Mobile Fall Arrester or ASAP Lock Mobile Fall Arrester, extending the system to let a technician move further from the rope during certain work phases without sacrificing fall protection. Its tear-webbing is housed inside a durable, replaceable fabric pouch that shields it from abrasion and contamination during daily use, while opening easily for the routine inspections rope access work demands. If the pouch wears prematurely, it's field-replaceable on its own (ASAP'SORBER AXESS Pouch, SKU L071EC00) rather than requiring the whole absorber to be retired. Where the AXESS distinguishes itself from the standard ASAP'SORBER 20/40 is rescue capacity: it's rated for two-person rescue scenarios up to 250 kg combined weight, with a longer maximum free-fall allowance (203 cm vs. 125 cm) to accommodate that heavier, higher-consequence load.
Features
- Must be used with an ASAP or ASAP LOCK mobile fall arrester — not rated for standalone use
- Tear-webbing progressively limits impact force during a fall
- Durable fabric pouch protects tear-webbing from abrasion and contaminants
- Pouch opens for easy routine inspection and is field-replaceable if worn (SKU L071EC00)
- Rated for single-user falls up to 140 kg and two-person rescue up to 250 kg
- Compatible with CAPTIV positioning bars for controlled connector orientation on both ends of the system
