A mobile fall arrester built to disappear during normal movement and stop you instantly the moment something goes wrong. Built specifically to pair with ASAP'sorber Axess Fall Arrest Lanyard, giving rope access technicians the working distance and rescue capacity a fall-arrest system on its own doesn't provide.
The ASAP LOCK rides freely along the rope as you move, requiring no manual operation during normal ascent, descent, or lateral travel — vertical, horizontal, or angled rope all work the same way. The moment a fall or uncontrolled descent exceeds 2 m/s, the device blocks the rope automatically, and it stays reliable even if grabbed mid-fall or used on rope in frozen or muddy condition, where a toothed wheel keeps traction that a smooth cam would lose. A connection arm makes the whole system drop-resistant, so passing intermediate anchors doesn't mean fumbling to keep the device attached, and safety catches simplify getting it on and off the rope at any point along its length. The integrated LOCK function adds a further layer of control: engage it to immobilize the device manually, shortening potential fall distance in exposed positions or keeping the rope from blowing upward and out of reach in high wind — a small detail that matters more than it sounds like on an exposed rope access job.

The ASAP and ASAP LOCK share the same core function: both ride freely along the rope during normal use and automatically block on a fall or uncontrolled descent exceeding 2 m/s. The ASAP LOCK adds an integrated LOCK function, allowing the user to manually immobilize the device to reduce potential fall distance in exposed positions or prevent the rope from blowing upward in high wind — a feature the standard ASAP does not have. This added function comes with a weight difference: 190 g for the ASAP versus 335 g for the ASAP LOCK. Choose the ASAP for standard rope access and fall-arrest applications, or the ASAP LOCK when reduced fall distance control or wind resistance is a priority for the job at hand.
